It is with great sadness that we announce the tragic loss of Dr. Karim Dharssi on Thursday October 15, 2026. We have lost a kind and compassionate friend, colleague and a highly skilled and dedicated family physician.

Dr. Dharssi’s family and care team are exploring options to ensure that our patients will be cared for in the long term.

Short Term Care:
The physicians associated with the Orillia Family Health Organization (OFHO) will see Dr. Dharssi’s patients in the OFHO After Hours Clinic for at least the next three months.

We have also arranged for locum physician coverage to review current lab and test results, and if there are concerns you will be contacted for discussion.

Saturday | 9 am – 2 pm

You must have a valid health card with you at time of registration. Please take any current medications with you when you visit the clinic.

For urgent medical care:
Please go to Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital Emergency Department at 170 Colborne St. W. or the Emergency Department closest to you.

Prescription Renewals
Please contact your Pharmacy to request any prescription renewals.

Please be advised that Dr. Dharssi’s clinic will be transitioning to OPEN PATIENT HOURS.

Drop-In Hours:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday- (We are closed Friday October 23, 2026)
1:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Nurses will no longer respond to patient inquiries by phone. All interactions will need to take place face to face.

Open Patient Hours between 1 PM and 4 PM:

  1. Please take a number and an assessment clipboard.
  2. Have a seat in the waiting area and complete the assessment form, outlining your medical concern.
  3. Please wait for a receptionist to call your number before approaching the reception
    desk to register.

We kindly ask that all patients follow this process to help ensure an organized and efficient
clinic experience.
